Myrl Weinberg, President of the National Health Council (NHC) introduces a new blog for people with chronic disease and disability, A Different Normal . "The NHC is a unique organization that brings together all segments of the health care community to provide a united voice for the more than 130 million people with chronic diseases and disabilities and their family caregivers.

"We hope this new blog will give rise to a stronger patient voice with people and their family caregivers engaged as active participants in discussions and decisions about their health care. It is when an individual's rights, preferences, and predicaments are heard, understood, and taken into consideration that we have health care that meets the unique needs of patients with chronic conditions."

So what does "A Different Normal" mean to you? What are some things that may be normal for you as a person with the challenge of chronic disease and/or disability, that someone without them might not face?
