I was nipped by an apparently stray(might be a strictly outside pet, I don't know) cat on Friday May 11th. The nip does not appear to have broken the skin, merely bruised the muscle. The cat seemed perfectly healthy at the time and still appears healthy now... It is not and was not drooling, foaming, or acting abnormally in the least. Should I be concerned for a potential of rabies? Would that be possible without breaking the skin or drooling into any open injuries? I washed my hands quite thoroughly after it happened and am merely concerned about my health and that of my family and pets. Please tell me if I am overreacting.

i don't know the answer to your Qs. i think you should call either your dr or your veterinarian and ask.
