THE NATIONAL HEALTH COUNCIL
Myrl Weinberg posted:
Beginning September 23, 2010, young people will be allowed under federal law to remain on their parent's health insurance plan up to the age of 26. Of course, this change is not automatic.

A good place to go to learn more is the Kaiser Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization that produces a wealth of materials on various issues, including information on the implemenation of the Affordable Care Act.

Here's the link to their two-page information sheet about extending coverage to young people: http://www.kff.org/healthreform/upload/8065.pdf .
