I have had fibroymalgia for over 13+ years . I too have felt like I was not being a good Mom or Partner or enjoy my Grandkids.. I have had to work even when I haven't wanted, I have had years of the depression, the meds. But the one thing I couldn't allow myself was to stay in bed. I have spend many of days laying on the floor with a ice pack, or on the couch with it or a heat pad. I am 57 years old and have felt this pain since my late 30's, I remember telling my Physcian that I felt like 80 not 30. I was found out that she had been also diagonsed not to long before, so she understood. The one thing she always was to keep moving. Yes the pain says no, but you have to fight the urge to lay down all day. I have made myself walk daily and still do. It doesn't have to be far, try just down the street, or when you go shopping, don't park close make yourself walk. I have now found out that going to the gym, find one with a Pool, get in it just walk around, swim, anything to move, I have now gotten to doing 30 minutes on the treadmill at the slowes pace, It helps with both making your muscles work and breathe, and I find the depression has not been as bad as before. You start feeling better about your self, take it slow. I go 3 days a week , I walk , then go to the pool and then hit the hot tub. Try it you will feel better both mentally and you will find that your pain lessons, Yes I still have those days I want to cry cause of the pain, but I am finding better days with the mild excercise
