Could be watching a rerun of a rerun but thought I'd see what and who was on board this evening. Wasn't too surprised. Found myself bored. So here goes my list of boredom zapping ideas.

1. Work a crossword puzzle. I especially the the easy ones.

2. Try to figure sudoku. Yup still trying

3. Water the yard. It's too hot

4. Read. Don't want to.

5. Channel surf. Can't figure out where Mark put the remote.

6. Pluck eyebrows. Nah.. Don't feel like. Starting to favor the bushy look

7. Exercise. Should x this off the list

8. Take a walk. See above

9. Take a shower. Then I'll want to fall asleep

10. Go on-line..Doing that now

Too hot to go outside. Boredom's set in and too lazy to do anything about it. LOL!

I hope everyone's relatively pain free this evening. Wish I was. Something flared today and not for sure which. Maybe arthritis, maybe fm maybe something else. Who knows. All I know is that all my joints hurt and it was painful for a long time.

Hugz

Karen
We are drawn to dogs because they are the uninhibited creatures we want to be. They fight for honor at the first dare and do not know death. Being uncomplicated, they need us to do their worrying.

I know the feeling of pain. Some days just opening a ziploc bag causes tears to pop out of my eyes. Do you have CFS? I do not have a doctor who believes in it, therefore we have no discussions about my disorder or any treatment beyond what was begun three or more years ago where we used to live. I need to talk about what I am going through, know what I mean?

We had a really cool day today, high of about 75. So unusual for nearly the end of June in the central valley of CA.

What to do when bored.I do the channel surf, I do word search books. Once in a while sudoku, the really easy ones.

really once you get it figured out, they are fun to do. Took me forever, and finally had a friend point me in the right direction.

I just got out of the shower, worked in my sons yard all day, and my body is saying "Oh no, you didn't" right now.

He is doing his 48 on, and I dug 4 holes for some shrubs I let his boys get him for Fathers Day. I spread out 3 bags of bark, and need to get 3 more tomorrow. Surprise him when he gets home on Mon. morning.

I had my A/C unit replaced today. My other one was not repairable, and I was not going to sit around and wait for the home warranty to come through. They were giving us problems. The other day it was 95 in here. Of course being a modular, they are harder to keep cool and heated.

Although I do have double payned windows. Actually, I am hoping we have a mild summer here.

You could always wash the car, LOL, I took my grand daughter to dinner today, I had a club sandwich, first one in forever. She had been craving BLT's, andrather than make at home, I took her out.

Well, I am going to get off here, whoo hoo, I am in trouble from doing all that yard work today. Hope you have a "less boring" Sunday.

I will be watching NASCAR on Sunday. They are about 2 hrs from me in Sonoma, (Wine Country) racing at Infineon raceway

Hey Karen,

I'm not allowed....if I experience boredom, my brides right there to help me fight it off (mopping floors, doing dishes, laundry, straightening up the Florida Room, change the beds, polish the cats, etc.)...so I keep that bit of information to myself. That's why I have the computer and several different simulations...Flight, Ships, Train, etc.

If something comes up, I use..."Gee, I'm right in the middle of a hop from LA to Berlin right now...haven't had the chance to do much flying lately...can it wait, I'm really busy dealing with the headwinds up here at 30,000 feet". Either she mentally stamps me as 'Idiot' or believes me, but it gets me off the hook...especially today...it's Father's Day, and I plan on being a complete slug (ok, more so than normal...I'll, at least, maintain a pulse).

I'd like to donate my hands to science, but otherwise doing pretty decent.

Oh, did I tell you that my GP wants to have me see a hand surgeon? Both hands...something about reaming out my tendons...Oh Boy (NOT)....then he says that I have 'Tennis Elbow'....neat, never played tennis before

Anyhow, hope you can get your boredom under control and manage to stay cool.

Hello and welcome.

Yes, I do have CFS. Fortunately, my rheumatologist believes one cannot have fibromyalgia without have cfs. She believes the two are so closely entwined, they always go hand in hand. So, I'm being treated for both.

I wish you could find a good rheumatologist. One who would work with you on your pain and and fatigue. Not that it always works, nothing always does. But, at least you would feel a little better.

I hope you come back. This is a good board. Just a little slow sometimes.

Hugz,

Karen

HA! Wash the car. I forgot about that one. Ha ha. You are so funny. I don't ever see me getting that bored again.

Won't be doing much of anything on Sunday. It's going to be too hot. I hope you have a good day and didn't wear your self out too much from all the yard work.

Karen

Tennis Elbow? How did that happen? I would have thought you would have carpal tunnel. So, are you going to have the surgery? It sounds pretty painful to me.

Wash the cat. (eyeroll) That's truly boredom. LOL!

I hope you have a good day and Happy Father's Day. Be all the slug you want. It's your day to be one.

Yeah...right.....you're hysterical I get to have Father's Day after I work around the house helping Mary get ready for her Mom's arrival, cleaning the toilet, the sink, making dinner, etc., etc.

Nice fantasy though!

As to the surgery...well...maybe I will....my hands feel like someone's been working on them with a hammer as it is, but I only want to do one at a time if possible.

Actually, no...it was POLISHING the cat...it's easy once you duct-tape them to the wall

Thanks, Karen.

I believe the same as your doctor, from all I have read. I may try a rheumotologist here. The one in my old state, granted it was probably 15 years ago, didn't want to see me again after all my extensive and expensive lab tests came back. It's hard not to get jaded.

Today's my day off and I am so exhausted. I feel like crying, but I am too tired. Can't even think of climbing the stairs. Maybe I'll crash on the couch with the afghan my Mom made me almost 40 years ago. It feels like a hug.

Smiles to Everyone,
Bernsan
