I answered elsewhere too but will say it here as well.... yes, there are fireworks here but I usually don't see them. Instead, me and my guy (an American) cross the border on the 4th and watch fireworks then from a pretty small town overlooking the ocean. I prefer that over huge crowds we'd get here locally.

My paternal side of the family is from Canada.
Someday I'd love to visit the area where my roots are from. The farm is no longer run by the family and not even sure if it's a farm anymore.
I'm with you on your choice of area's to watch fireworks from.
This year we didn't see any displays! Maybe next year.
(I'm still flabbergasted it's July already! Where did the first half of the year go?)
