Yes, they're baaaaaaaack!

For those new here, we used to share our weekly whines, wishes and wins to check in with each other. I thought it might be time we resurrected 'em.

Whine: I am sick AGAIN! This time it's a bad head cold (rather than the lung infection a month or two ago) along with some asthma due to the poor air quality here this week.

Wish: That my younger son doesn't let an upcoming challenge derail all the progress he's made with improving/changing his life lately. He deserves to be happy.

Win: Um. Hmmmm. I made it through this week? (Yes, that's a question, not a statement. Sue me. LOL!)

What are your whines, wishes and wins this week?

Hmmmm....I still like a nice Tawney Port with a big slab of porterhouse.

Wish: That my body and mind would start cooperating....my body says I'm 172 and my brain (and I think it's trying to kill me) says that I'm still 25.

Win: how about 'WIN-ney the Pooh'? (or Ed...but that would be Wynn)...oooo...I got it....my bride is still goofy enough to stay with me...that's a win!!

Jim

PS: Sorry to hear that you're sick again....you really need a new hobby kiddo.

Yeah!

Whine: My legs. Knees. And Arthritis. They're all a mess.

Wish: That my daughters would grow up and become women. They're not children. Well, they'll always be my children but that's not it.

Win: Let me think. Is there a win in here? Somewhere?
I think so, but ....let me think..maybe. I got it. Johnny and Miranda still love me.

Hugz,

Karen
Sometimes I feel like the world is testing me, and the hardest thing to do is stand up and say I am strong enough!

Yes, us too, Karen. (((hugs)))

Jim, I prefer Tigger myself but to each his own. (Of course, 'Tigger' didn't fit the criteria....)

I will try and take a stab at it! I hope all are planning on a restful weekend!

Whine: The epiderals I got in my back (2) each only lasted 2 weeks. At least the last let me make it to San Diego a little more comfortable.

Wish: That I didn't have anything to whine about! Hows that for wishing?

Win: I spent a week in Anahiem visiting my best friend I hadn't seen in 3 yrs. And a family reunion in San Diego. Lots of food, fun, and laughter.

Any other takers?

Sarah,
If you didn't have anything to whine about you couldn't play the game!

Whine: Overall health in general--multiple co-morbidities is not good.
Wish: To get better
Win: Scale was going in the right direction this AM.

I don't know about that...I don't have anything to whine about, but it never stops me from participating....although right now, I'm considering it.

The new version of Ship Simulator is out...they want $52 for it! YIKES....I'm still ruminating on that one. Yeah, the graphics are incredible, yeah the game play and handling are really good and the various destinations are way better than in the past, but $52!?

I need to break out my abacus and see if that's a doable thing or not. Of course, all the snotty European kids are already ordering it with Daddy's Credit Card...what do they care, they don't have to make the money. I need to be adopted just long enough to make the order and submit the bill.

Grrrrrrrrrrr...........

Back to the calculator.
