New Study Says: CFS NOT Caused by XMRV Virus

There's been a fair amount of talk about this here so I thought you'd all like to see the update:

XMRV was first linked to CFS in a study published in October 2009, where blood samples from chronic fatigue syndrome patients were found to have traces of the virus.

The new study, published in Retrovirology, identifies the source of XMRV in CFS samples as being cells or mouse DNA rather than infection by XMRV.

The researchers say this does not rule out a virus as cause of the condition, but XMRV is not the cause.

Dr Paul St. Amand has written a book, What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Fibromyalgia Fatigue. It's a paper back book you can purchase from Amazon.com and it explains the science behind the Fatigue you feel. He, too, had CFS as well as Fibromyalgia. At 84, he no longer has the symptoms of either, but he started on a protocol over 40 years ago and continues on it to this day. He works 5 days a week as a physician.

His only patients are ones that have CFS and/or FMS. He has well over 10,000 patients. I am on his protocol, which I began simply by reading his book.

There is a scientific logic to why we have the fatigue and pain we experience. Reading the book will help you understand what is going on in your body, and how to reverse the symptoms.

I just started a support group in the Jupiter, Florida area. If you need information on the support group I can be reached at bonniewellness@aol.com

I don't understand why CFS and fibromyalgia are so often lumped together, except for the occasional poor person who has both.
They are very different illnesses and their symptomatology does not overlap much.
