Anyone using this for relief from CFS? It is the only drug that keeps me feeling like a whole person -- active and alive. It also decreases the pains of my FMS. It's tough to convince my doctor -- but the quality of my like is greatly improved. I am looking for others who use this for CFS.

alamopokeymom replied to Sergiokay's response:
It was originally prescribed for weight loss, yes --- but it did not work for that in my case --- instead, I realized that I felt much better while on it --- less pain, less fatigue, and I could do things that were not possible before. Therefore, it is now being prescribed for me as a "quality of life" drug to combat the CFS.

Hello alamopokeymom,

I was recently diagnosed (at age 40) with what they believe is CFS. I was put on a medication that is used for ADHD, and that seems to have helped me mentally be more focused, alert, etc., but my body still feels fatigued. They mentioned several drug options to me (this being the first one I've tried) and I believe Phentermine was one of them. Was wondering if that has seemed to help your body feel energized and/or mood as well? I have a follow-up appointment today to discuss how the meds I'm on are doing, and would like to hear what you think about Phentermine in case that's an option?

Thanks Much!

Sorry it took so long to get back to you -- I was away with bad internet service
Anyway, Phentermine does help me feel energized and feel less pain -- it lasts for about 8 hours, and picks up my mood because I do not feel the overwhelming urge to lie down and take a nap.
What did you decide to try?
I am a little reluctant to use this drug on an everyday basis, so I have recently tried D-Ribose - 5000 mg 3x a day and this helps keep me going, but doesn't do too much for my mood.
Let me know how it goes with you. Thanks
