I actually had mono then Chronic Mono then EBV Epstein Barr Virus and then they diagnosed me having CFS Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I take Cymbalta for the aches and depression and an anxiety medication as well as tramadol for the pain. It sometimes helps but sometimes I feel so bad nothing works and I get sick easily. There are a lot of great websites out there that have tons of information about Epstein Barr Virus and CFS one is actually CDC.gov the Centers of Disease Control and there are others one site actually dedicated to research on this complex disease. The OFFER website is a great one to start on. If you need to contact me back you can. Hope this info helps!

I have had a similar story -active epstein Barr 4 times. I quit having it checked after that because I knew the cause of my relapses. I just needed relief. I have been on Ritalin &phentrmine for energy at separate times. Both worked well, but my body gets used to it after a while just got an adderol Rx so trying that now. I have tramadol & a muscle relaxer for pain episodes. The best thing for energy is Nuvigil, but it is very expensive. I also take many vitamin supplements. My relapses are much shorter & farther between with these meds.
