So I was diagnosed with CFS roughly 2 years ago. I am now 23 years old and have been dealing with it for 4 or 5 years now. Is it possible to just have the fatigue with no other symptoms? I have no pain or disease to cause it. Are there any tests, other than blood work, that anyone could recommend for me to get to start ruling things out?

How are you?

Apologies for not replying any sooner, I have been quite exhausted the past couple of weeks.

How extensive is your blood work being? Has your doctor tested for the presence of metals in your blood? Has your doctor mentioned anything on a mitochondrial level?

Folic Acid

Then I take many other script meds for other CFS issues.

People can experience varied symptoms but the most telling factor with CFS is extreme fatigue experienced after exercise of exertion. Any form of energy use can leave you feeling exhausted for days or even weeks afterwards and usually it feels like you are suffering with the worst hangover when you wake up in the mornings. The energy battery in our cells are called mitochondria and with CFS the gene function of the mitochondria becomes deregulated or sometimes damaged and so the conversion of nutrients to energy becomes dysfunctional.
A new discovery in genetics, called epi-genetics, now gives hope by helping to restore healthy gene function. I am one of the lucky ones to be the first on this therapy and have my health restored after 20 years of suffering. Want to know more email me at janine.j@xtra.co.nz I am happy to help
