Well, today is cd 1. I had planned on taking the month off and I still am, but, I am trying to decide if I want to use an opk just to see if I "O" on my own. Does it really matter? If I'm going to see a specialist he will probably have me take something regardless, right? Decisions, decisions.....
Me-24 DH-37 TTC 1st for 11 months. 1st round of Clomid 50mg-BFN, 2nd round 100mg-BFN. Start 3rd round (100mg) on 3/8.

You know I am taking this month off also and I am not using an OPK, but I am pretty aware now when I am Oing. If you know your body don't use one, if you aren't sure what can it hurt? If you end up getting pregnant look at the money you just saved?! I wouldn't stress with them, but if you have some in the bathroom...why not use them!!!

The RE may put you on something, but I wouldn't rely on that!

Hope that helps!

Thanks, it does. Now that you mention it, I should know when I'm Oing, I thought I only knew when I was on the Clomid but since I O'd sooo late this last time I don't think I can really attribute feeling it to that. (Does that make sense?) I think I'll wait and if I get EWCM then I may test for O but otherwise I'll forgo testing.

DH and I had to go into the city and go shopping for Mother's Day gifts for our Moms last night. We went to our favorite mexican place and I had a jumbo margarita. It was so nice to relax and forget about TTC! I really needed that, I haven't had any alcohol since Thanksgiving!

You know, DH and I really don't drink much. (We just threw out the beer in our fridge because it was so old!) But, sometimes you just need a drink to relax you!

I've given up on OPKs myself. They drive me insane. I still have a box of a few at home that I use on occasion when I think I'm getting close to Oing. I have yet to time it right and get a positive...even when I get a positive through bw! I wouldn't stress about using them, but if you think you're Oing it certainly doesn't hurt to confirm it. Good luck!

Mrs62610 replied to maragayle's response:
We don't normally drink much either just on special occasions or family get-togethers, or like last night the occasional drink out. I was feeling overdue though with all the stress lately! Funny, we have some beer in our basement fridge that needs to be tossed too!

I've made up my mind that I will only use the opk's if I get ewcm because I always get with O. With Clomid I may not always have as much as with no medication.

My mom bought us a six pack of Sam Summer two weeks ago. There's still six in the fridge. I never even think to grab myself a drink. I guess it's better, anyway, especially with the whole TTC thing.

I had my CD21 blood work drawn this morning. I guess I can test next Tuesday. Not sure if I've ovulated this month or not. I hadn't gotten any of the usual signs until yesterday. I wonder if it would still show on the BW?

My graduation is Saturday. I'm treating myself to a manicure, new dress and new shoes on Friday. I'm taking the day off, dropping my nephew off at the sitter's and rewarding myself with a little "me" time. With all of the stress that comes from TTC, I feel like I need it! Who knows, perhaps I'll stop for a margarita, too!

Me, too! I'm ready for this baby to make its appearance! I don't care if I have my head in the toilet from day one to the final day of pregnancy! I just want to know it's possible. I'm getting beyond frustrated, and so tired of having to be patient! I know I'm preaching to the choir here...

I agree I want a baby too! Preaching to the choir...

You know DH and I do drink fairly regularly. There is so much information out there about what you should or should not do! Drinking, strenuous exercise, coffee, caffiene, the list goes on and on. I just don't know if I can believe all of it. My sister when she got pregnant was still drinking (he was planned) and was in her 30s when she got pregnant. I just don't know what to believe! I have been wanting to get back into running, but haven't because I am going back and forth with strenuous exercise. I have decided that I am going to run 1-2 days a week and only limited miles.

I got a good surprise at school today. We have a courtesy group. They are responsible to send flowers, plants, provide meals etc to staff members who have had a death in the family, surgeries, etc. Well I had my LAP in March and only a limited number of people knew about it. So my "mom" (long story there) came up to me today and handed me a gift card to one of the salons in town that does massages! I was so touched. She said no one knows about it, so I was happy to know that! She told me that with everything I have had going on lately and with how stressed i have been that I deserved to do something relaxing and have some "me" time!

Enjoy your "me" time! Have fun at your graduation...after all the time spent hopefully it will land you a great job!

maragayle replied to ATT76's response:
My doctor said as long as you gradually build up your exercise routine, it's okay to exercise. You just can't go from being sedentary to running a marathon in two days. Research shows moderate exercise can help...it's when you overdo it that you see problems.

As far as the drinking thing goes, I really wouldn't worry about it. If we all gave up everything that pregnant women can't do/eat/drink, the last months, years, etc. of TTC would have been that much more miserable! My theory is, I'm going to have my cup of coffee in the morning...hell, I might have one in the afternoon, too...until I get that BFP. Once I get my BFP I'll be more than happy to give up anything and everything bad for me and the baby. Until then, though, I'm going to enjoy all of those little things in life. Like caffeine and the occasional margarita. Hence the motorcycle class in a couple of weeks....I certainly wouldn't be doing that pregnant!

ATT76 replied to maragayle's response:
I agree, once I get pregnant all that will end. I may walk if the weather is decent, but not running! The coffee will be harder to give up then running. I can at least walk and keep active, but having that cup of coffee is the morning or not having it will be hard for me! I LOVE MY COFFEE!

Me, too! I never really drank it until college, but then I was hooked! I was reading somewhere that an apple in the morning has the same physiological effect as a cup of coffee. Worth a shot, anyway, when the time comes!

I didn't drink it until college either! I drink it way more now then I did back then. The apple thing is a good idea to try! It might also be a mind over matter thing too!
