Me (32), DH (31), TTC for 4years, 1st round clomid , HCG tigger shot 1/9 / US 1/9
Welcome back!
I have had the sperm wash with IUI done. Every women is different with the IUI. I had 3 IUIs and I did 200mg clomid, with HCG shot, I had extreme cramping with round 1 & 2 and the IUI was painful. (#2 was worse then #1). The third one was a lot different. It didn't hurt as bad and did not have any cramping afterwards (or minimal cramping). I took the day off with the 3 I had and was glad I did that. However, there are women on here who have had the IUI and went back to work and had minmal to no cramping.
Good luck! Let us know how everything turns out!
My RE switched me this cycle. Jury's still out as to whether or not it worked, but I think I did O...though it may have been late in my cycle. I'll let everyone know if it ends up being my miracle drug!
I've never had an IUI, so I can't help you there. I know the HSG hurt like a son of a..... and I've heard them compared. IUIs are our next step if the Femara doesn't work. Followed by IVF.
Good luck to you and welcome back!
I just wanted to let you know I sent you a friend request on Facebook. Stephanie Attema should come up.
I also was wondering if you heard anything about your job interview.
Hope everything is going good!

Nothing about the job yet! I asked them a week or so ago. They said they had a key person out of the office unexpectedly and were really behind. Hopefully I'll hear soon. In the meantime, I'm applying like crazy to anything and everything I can!
Well keep me posted about the job search! Fingers crossed for you finding that great job!!!!
I have done the clomid, wash and IUI twice now and both times I went to work afterwards. While it's uncomfortable and it does hurt, my pain went away quickly. Since the clomid can cause the excess and hostile cervical mucus I thought it would be better to go with the IUI along with the baby dancing to better our chances. I go Friday for my progestrone blood test. . . crossing my fingers. Best of luck to you!
I bought a new book yesterday called "A Few Good Eggs." So far, I really like it. It's an informational book about infertility written by two women who have experienced it first hand. They share their stories, stories of friends and combine professional advice, descriptions, etc. It also outlines some coping mechanisms. I'll let you know what I think when I finish it. I was just getting to the point where I needed something else to try to understand what I'm going through.
Let me know if the book is worth purchasing. I would be interested. I think it would be good to read something that could give some real information!
