I love, love, love this new dr!!!! He is great! I told him how many rounds of Clomid I've done and he said he doesn't even use it! Also, he said in his experience that if a woman is having hot flashes on it then they usually won't get pregnant on it! Wow! He actually did a quick u/s off the books just so he could see if I have PCOS or not. I don't! I was shocked when he told me I have a 24mm follicle and that I will probably O in the next day or so!!! I didn't think I would O on my own! The plan is if I get AF this time that we will do Femara cd3-7 and then an u/s on CD 12 and an Ovidrel shot. I feel so much better! It was so funny he was telling me the plan and said "if you have any questions about any of this..." I said, "Oh no, I am on WebMD all the time, I know exactly what you are talking about!" He just laughed and said he figured that was the case. Lol

Pharmacy already texted me saying my Femara Rx is ready. $10! I was worried it would cost a lot more.

That's great news about your Dr! Good luck! I wish you the best! My husband wanted to take a break from the fertility stuff.. so my last Clomid was in Feb. But I've had a period and O'd on my own each month until now! Crazy huh? They tested my prolactin levels last year when I was having irregular periods, and it was extremely elevated. This last march though, my prolcatin was normal - and now I have my own periods. No one can tell me why it's normal now!! If anyone out there knows.. I'd love to hear the answer! Good luck with femara! I've heard thats great stuff and really works well for a lot of people!
TTC 2nd- 8 mos, MC in Jan - 3rd round of clomid positive O, waiting to test on the 18th!

Glad to hear you are Oing on your own and things are regulating! I still can't believe he thinks I should O tomorrow. I never expected to O on my own even though I was hoping. I enjoyed the break more than I thought I would. I kind of figured I would be anxious the entire time and wouldn't be able to relax. Well, I've gone back to having a little caffeine now and then, having a drink occasionally and just become more at peace with our situation. I hope you are (for lack of a better word) enjoying your break. When are you planning to start back up?

I'm not sure. My husband thinks I should be able to get pregnant on my own, since I did with my daughter - and theres not anything else wrong with me besides the hormone problem that seems to be resolved. So we're hoping to get preggers on our own! That might happen for you since you are probably going to be Oing tomorrow! My friends tell me to just relax, and thats when it will happen.

I'm hoping it will happen that way for me! That's what everyone I've talked to has said. I hope you can do it on your own, taking medicine is no fun. Good luck! Where are you at in your cycle? even though I'm just now getting near O, I am on CD 30.

I'm on CD 15. I'm really just going on faith here - because I quit obsessively charting everything like I used to. I dont' use OPK's anymore because they made me just crazy. So what I've been going off for Oing is cervical mucous. I do get that, and that's when I figure I'm ovulating. I think the chances are pretty high that I've been O'ing on my own since I've been having periods. I used to O, when I charted, on CD 20. So we'll see. Wow! You're Oing late! I really think relaxation has a part in conceiving. I've heard so many stories of women trying so hard, and when they took a break, they got pregnant. Of course that can't work for everyone. My sister in law has no tubes, but I bet her fourth IVF will finally work - because she's so much more relaxed, as she just adopted a little girl in Feb. I'm just so happy I'm having periods again! I was NEVER irregular all my life unitl I started taking a certain medication that the Dr told me caused my hyperprolactemia. It's not a med I can easily switch - so I'm hoping the side effect has gone away?? Here's to hoping for the both of us! Thats awesome you had such a great follicle!

I wish my cycles were that short! Much less waiting! I have been watching my cm for ovulation and I noticed it was getting closer to O but didn't think I was this close. I just used the one and only ovulation strip I had left and it was positive! How convenient! Fingers crossed that you O soon!!

Glad to hear you like your doctor! That in itself makes all the difference! It is amazing how calm those REs make you. I think it is just a new doctor which makes you so much more excited. You know they are GOOD, so you aren't wasting any time!

That is awesome about the Femera. I haven't gotten on any meds since Feb. and Femera is the next step. I am hoping I have good luck with it...price wise and getting pregnant wise too!

Well good luck with everything!

ATT76 replied to Leah25Brooke2's response:
When I went to see my RE and he did all the b/w, my prolactin level was a littel elvated too. I was told it can be elevated for many reasons, the anxiety of getting pricked, if you had sex in the last couple of days, water from a shower running over your breasts, or touching your breasts. I had my redone and the 2nd time it wasn't elevated. Hope that helped!

Wow! Well thats funny. But I was having irregular periods all last year too. That does make sense though cause I had just taken a shower, I was anxious and my husband and I BD regularly. But - if it was a false alarm, why, then were my periods irregular for over a year - and now they are not? Hhmmm... such a mystery to me. Could it have been the stress from school? They were never irregular until I got on a certain medication . Hhmm. I stumped! lol

Glad to hear your visit went well with the RE! Welcome to the Femara club! You're lucky you got a good price right off the bat. I had to call around and will end up switching pharmacies next month if I have to. You'll hopefully find that the side effects are almost nonexistent on the Femara, which is nice after Clomid!

I'll have my BW next Tuesday. If the Femara doesn't work to induce O this time around I'll be going back to the RE to change up the plan. That will probably mean Ovidrel and/or IUI. I guess we'll just wait and see! I'm just ready for this all to be over!

ATT76 replied to maragayle's response:
Hope this cycle works for you! The IUI will mean more trips to the RE and more travel. On a brighter note at least its summer and the drive won't necessarily be nasty!!

I don't remember...did you O last month?

maragayle replied to ATT76's response:
According to my BW, no. It was 1.7 and has to be 2 for O. However, I think I just O'd late, which threw off the numbers, because I got AF on my own a few days late. That never happens unless I O. So, maybe? Haha.

I'm hoping there is a place closer to do the IUI. The RE is only an hour-ish away, but my OBGYN had indicated all of the procedures are done in Boston. That's 3 hours without traffic....and time off from work which will be hard since DH is a police officer!
