Just wondering how true this is.

I went to a new OB because of period problems and trying to conceive. He gave me provera and clomid. He went on to tell me to prepare for multiples because clomid has that effect.Multiples would be great, but Im just wondering how true it really is.I do have a friend who used a very low dose of clomid and has twin boys.

From what I've read, it is true. It raises the chance of having multiples more than the general population. The chance is more for twins, less for triplets.

What sites were you on? Make sure you look at medically reputiable sites. On Medline Plus drug information, a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine, it states that there is an increase for twins or more.

I just googled about it.That would explain why my dr said to prepare for twins, triplets,or even quads cause the odds were against us for just having 1 baby. Thanks so much for the help.

My doctor and my sister's doctor told us both with clomid there's a 5-10% chance of twins. It's definitely not a given. My sister only had one.
