6 days of Clomid

Hello Ladies!
I went to a new RE this cycle and although I hated everything about him and decided to stick with my old doc, he prescribed me Clomid to be taken on days 3-8. With my old doctor I only ever took the Clomid for 5 days, usually days 4-8. I took the extra dose of Cloimd this cycle (I take 100mg) and I had my Day 15 follicle scan today. I'm still wait to hear back from the doc, but the u/s tech said I had 5 mature follicles. Soooo hopefully this is the month for me.
Has anyone else ever taken Clomid for 6 days or even ever heard of this?? Any info would be appreciated!!

I have never heard of anyone taking it for any length of time other than 5 days. I don't know why it would hurt to take it one more day but there must be a reason why it's usually only 5 days. I would ask your dr about it.
Me-24 DH-37 TTC 1st for 13 months. 3 rounds of Clomid all BFN's. Switched to RE. Took 1 cycle break, AF due June 22nd. If AF shows then Femara, Ovidrel, LP Progesterone and CD 12 U/S.

I've never heard of it either, neiter did my current RE who I switched back to. She seems to think it may have been a mistake, which I wouldn't doubt b/c that guy was horrible!

Either way I took the clomid for 6 days and I produced 5 mature follicles. Did the ovidrel fri night and had the IUI this morning...

Good luck! I'm sure it wasn't a big deal taking the extra dose. Fingers crossed you get a BFP in a couple weeks!
