My fourth cycle on clomid ended with another BFN. When I called to tell the gals at the reproductive clinic that I'd started my cycle, the ARNP there asked if I wanted to do another cycle of clomid since I'd had such a good response. I opted to go ahead and try femara. I've had trouble with my CM since using clomid. I've had no luck so far so I figure I might as well try something else. I start it tonight. I'm looking forward to less side effects. The ARNP told me that if I don't get pregnant this cycle that she suggests we then do a midcycle sono with trigger. Don't know what to think. On one hand, I'm glad they're being so proactive but on the other hand, I'm sad that it's already getting to this place. I don't know what to feel right now. I'm just kind of blah with disappointment and bewilderment. To top it all off, I started my period on Father's Day. Really bummed. I'm still working at it though. My husband came home to find me in tears. He held me for a while and said we'll start trying hard again in a couple weeks during my fertile time. He's great. I hope this next round is it. Baby dust girls!

Onto Femara if this round isn't successful

I like femara a lot better as far as the side effects go. I'm with you. If I don't see results in the next few cycles it's on to more intrusive methods of TTC. This entire thing just seems like one really bad dream. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to wake up from it quite yet!

Best of luck with the Femara. I've definitely noticed a difference in CM between the Femara and the Clomid, so you should be good there.
Me 23, DH 24, TTC 22 months,8 rounds Clomid,round two 7.5mg Femara this cycle, BW 6/12, test 6/19

Glad to hear your husband is understanding.

Good luck with the Femera. I have heard great things about it! Just hope for the best and what happens happens! I hate to be so blah about it, but you always go for disappointment first then happiness!!

Thanks ATT.

Yeah. My husband is great. He's really the only saving grace in this whole deal because he's going through it with me. My parents and grandparents are super supportive but the close relationship I've always had with my brother has seemed to dwindle after the birth of his son. I don't know if he's that uncomfortable to talk to me about what's going on in my life or what. We used to talk about everything, and now, hardly at all. He asked how my weekend went and I told him that we were moving on to another cycle of trying. He replied but completely skipped over anything to do with me. Only seemed to want to talk about himself. I don't know. I'm down because I just found out another one of my good friends is pregnant. She has a child but they've been trying for their second for a few months now. It's true about how misery loves company. The news really sent me into a downward spiral yesterday. Cried all night. I don't know. Just in a bad place right now. Here's hoping new meds do the trick. New meds, new attitude? We'll see...

That's good to hear about the Femara and minimal side effects, especially with CM. Seemed to have had trouble with that on the Clomid.

I hope we all have luck. It's about time right?
