AF...on to next cycle

ATT76 posted:
Well I have started spotting so that means AF will be showing up in the next couple of days! I kind of figured I wasn't pregnant this month since it has been really weird! But because it was weird it made me think maybe!!! Oh well, I really am okay with it this month I really wasn't getting my hopes up at all. I will call the RE to schedule our IUI for this cycle. I will keep you all posted.

Still a bummer! Though, it's a little less devastating when you assume AF is coming. I think so, anyway. Are they going to do just an IUI or add Femara to the mix, too?

Thanks for the thoughts! They will do Letrozole generic name Femara. They will do CD 3 u/s and I am hoping it isn't Friday because I am going out of town that day. We'll see what happens.

Well just thought I would give you an update. AF is still not here...officially! I have been spotting since Sunday and today I am having cramps/back pain. At this point I am jsut frustrated. I usually spot 2 -3 days prior to AF starting and it is now on day 3. I am 99% sure I am not pregnant so I just want her here so I can schedule the IUI and get the next phase started.

maragayle replied to ATT76's response:
UGH! AF really is a b^%$*! If you want her to show up she's nowhere to be seen, but if you want her to stay away she shows up unannounced. If she were an actual person, I think I'd punch her in the face.

Good news on my end. My OB's office called last night and I O'd this round! Today is CD24, so I can test Monday. My cycles tend to be closer to 35 days, though, so I may need to wait another week to test if it's a BFN. I hate having my 2WW really be a 3WW! Apparently, though, my snafu with the Femara didn't really matter that much. If this cycle's a bust, we'll try again. The RE said he wants me to ovulate consistently for 6 months (the average time it takes a normal person to get pregnant by) before starting anything more invasive.

Feeling nauseous the last few days but trying not to get my hopes up. Some weird cramping this cycle, too, post O. I think we hit the BDing thing right this cycle, so it's a waiting game now.

YAY for Oing!!!! All the signs sound good, but yeah don't get the hopes up! That would really suck having a 3ww, the 2ww is bad enough!!!

AF showed up today...finally! I am going to call the RE to schedule the IUI. DH told me that is has to be these days because people at work are taking vacation. (there are only 8 people that work there!).I know there are limited number of people that work there, but that just really annoys me! We will see what happens!

Well good luck with the testing! Fingers are crossed!

It's about time she showed up! You must be happy to get things started! I'm worried about the IUI, too. DH is a police officer, so it's not like he can take a day off easily. Hopefully it won't come down to that.

Oing two months in a row is definitely a plus! Even if we aren't pregnant, hopefully this is progress. Being able to O consistently would definitely be a stress reliever in this process! Fingers crossed, I guess. I'll probably test Monday, then again the following week if it's a BFN.

So I went to my u/s today and everything looked good. I start the letrozole today and am doing 5 mg. I go back Monday (23rd) and do another u/s to see how the meds worked. If all looks good then IUI on the 1st. It will be an awesome wedding anniversary present if it is positive ( Our anniversary is August 2nd). One thing though the u/s tech did mention was that my uterus is tipped back. I didn't ask about it, but my OB mentioned it once way in the beginning, but didn't really comment if it would prevent me from getting pregnant or not.

So did you test today? Let me know how it all went!

Sounds promising! Hopefully you'll get that special anniversary present!

BFN yesterday. My cycle tend to be about 35 days, though and today is only CD29. I'm feeling a little crampy this morning, so if AF's going to come hopefully she'll be merciful and show up soon. I'm so sick of all of this...

ATT76 replied to maragayle's response:
I agree...I am sick of all this too!

So are you going to test again or just wait for AF?

I started the letrozole last night. One of the big side effects was dizziness...great!!! So far I haven't had any side effects, but we will see. I know you said the side effects were minimal or not at all.

maragayle replied to ATT76's response:
No dizziness for me at all when I took it, which is good.

I'll wait it out for now. If she's still not here by next Monday I'll test again.

ATT76 replied to maragayle's response:
So far so good with no side effects. I have been hot lately, but can't tell if it is because of the weather (its been over 100 almost everyday for the last week) or the meds. So far no dizziness. I have been tired lately, but not sure if that is the meds or not. I think you almost start to read into symptoms too. But so far so good. go back on Monday for u/s.

maragayle replied to ATT76's response:
That's good! I seem to respond better on the Femara/Letrozole, but the lack of side effects is definitely the second best thing about taking that as opposed to Clomid!

Still a bit of cramping on and off here. A tiny bit of spotting after BDing last night. Thinking AF is on her way. Ugh.
