Clomid Community

I've used all three. The medroxyprogesterone I only took for 5 days, though. Ten seems like a lot, but different doctors suggest different things. It works for me when I don't ovulate to start a period.

I'm on Metformin, 1000mg twice daily. On Metformin alone I did get one period. I started off on 1000mg/day, but it was increased when I began seeing my RE (infertility specialist).

I tried Clomid, but didn't ovulate until 150mg. Even then, O was sporadic. My RE switched me over to 7.5mg of Femara, which has made me O consistently for the last 4 months. When I do O, AF (period) comes on her own.

I had some of the same symptoms as you do. Blood sugar, thyroid, etc. was normal, but I was still diagnosed with PCOS.

Hi Maragayle! Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. I don't know why he prescribed it for 10 days (shrugs) but it did work! 2 days after completing the Medroxypr i started Af. For me who has never had periods it sure did make me happy! It ment the treatment was working! I just finished my Clomid pills yesterday. I have bought several opks from the dollar tree and i will start using them tomorrow allong w Mucinex Er bc the Clomid didnt make me (dry) but my cm if deff thick sorry (tmi). I bought the 600mg 12 hour Er so i will take it twice a day and if i don't notice it helping my cm at 600mg it says i can take 2 tabs twice a day so i might up to 2.
SO clomid didnt work for you? I have an apt w my doc for blood work to see if i o'd on 10-25 so i guess i will see then if it worked for me. I didnt really get many side affect bc i took it at night and went to bed within the hour. It made me sleep like a baby. It actually made me tired. The only side affect i can say is i have been getting a little pain on my left side but it is not constant and it is not severe.
I don't know if he will up my Metformin or not bc i have been checking me blood sugars at home and they are good now (in the 80's when i wake up). Man getting used to that med was awful! Tummy was so upset! 500mg twice a day now i'm used to it. If they add more my tummy will be upset for a week again, He started me on the Metformin the same day as the Medroxpr so he didnt want to waist time to see if Metformin alone would make me o i guess.
Did you ever get pregnant with any treatment and if so which treatment worked for you?

Clomid only worked to make me O sporadically on 150mg.

I actually got my first ever BFP this morning! I go to the doctor on the 16th for my first prenatal checkup. I'm still in a state of shock. The miracle combination for me was 2000mg/day Metformin and 7.5mg Letrozole/Femara. You take it much like Clomid, but it targets your reproductive system a bit differently.

The pain on your left side could be signaling you that you are getting ready to O in the next few days. When taking Clomid, I ALWAYS get an ache around the ovary when the follicles (eggs) are maturing. It's a nice sign because you should start BDing when you feel it! Good luck! Clomid does make me O - I had a BFP but had a m/c. I'm on my last round of Clomid before Femara.

Wow 2000 is a lot! Phew i hope it don't take that much for me. The obgyn seems to be keeping an eye on me with blood work. I did take Clomid for one cycle befor but i have epilepsy and it made me have a seizure. I was not on seizure meds at that time though and i am now as he said he would not continue treatment with clomid unless i got on some anti seizure med. It did make me O the time i took it but it did not result in pregnancy. I remember the first time i paid for the name brand. I could not sleep i was up all hours of the night. With this genaric i sleep like a baby it actually makes me tired. I'm not noticing as many side effects either and i'm the seizure meds might affect the clomid but can't seem to find anything to back this up online all i can find says clomid can affect the seizure drug. The doctors didnt mention that it could. Shrugs. I bought the clearblue ovulation monitor (the pink digital one) and will start testing today (day 11).
This is my first cycle back on clomid so i'm praying i O on the 50mg as i did the first time.

I was thinking the same thing but i believe it is too soon for O to occur as i just finished the clomid 2 days ago. The pain just came for a few seconds on like 2 occations and left. I hope it is a sign the eggs are maturing in there! Lmbo! I did take a opk yesterday and it was negative. Not too worried bc it is so soon. Doc says he thinks i will O between days12 and 18. Was told to start bd every other day starting on day 12 and to use the opks from day 11-19. I will take it today around 2pm as i herd its best to take in the afternoon.

Ok ladies i think i got my true positive opk today (day 17). I will go to my profile now and post the pic i took of it and u tell me if this looks like a positive reading. These are the dollar tree cheapies that i took on day 12 (2 days after finishing clomid) and thought i got a positive but people said it was too soon. I got the result at 3pm today and tested again when i got home from work after holding my urin for 4 hours and there is still a 2nd line but its not very dark. What does this mean?
