I need some hope and help please!!

Hey All~ This is my first post on a group ever so I hope I do this right! I had my baby daughter on May 15th, 2012 and she died May 18, 2012. While pregnant we had no idea anything was wrong with her... we went to the hospital to have her (car seat in car, nursery all set up, Mom and Dad ready to go!) and she came out not breathing. They intubated her and took her to the NICU where she lived for three days. We are beyond devastated and are ttc again now! It took us 5 months to conceive Grace and we did it naturally with no drugs. I am currently not ovulating so they put me on clomid this month. I started on 50mg days 5-9. I am currently on cd 18 and still nada! No ++opk's and my temp has not risen. IS this normal? Does clomid take a long time to work? Could I still ovulate and if not should I go up in my dose next month. Any help is so appreciated! Thanks!

am so sorry to hear that, that is aweful, i am glad you are feeling better to try agian and i hoping the best for you. i took clomid because my eggs are not maturing and i am not ovulating and it never helped me ovulate so you may need to take a shot of HCG to help you drop that egg so it can fertilized. and there is no wrong way to post on here we are all here for you to vent or advice.

Sorry to hear about your loss. That must have been hard, to put it lightly. I recently had a coworker go through something similar. She was 8 months along, hadn't felt the baby move for about 12 hours, went in to the doctors and they couldn't have a heart beat. She still has the nursery at home, etc. I've talked to her a LOT about the whole process. It's definitely not an easy one.
If you don't O (ovulate) on 50mg, it's not a huge deal. A lot of women don't. They'll bump up your dose next cycle to 100mg, then 150mg if you still don't O. If you have an issue on 150mg, some doctors will try 200mg, but most will refer you to a specialist call a Reproductive Endocrinologist (RE).
I only O'd sporadically on 150mg, so I'm using Femara/Letrozole with much better results. It's essentially the same type of drug as Clomid...it just targets your reproductive organs a bit differently.

Are you having any symptoms of ovulation approaching? Increased egg white cervical mucus? Slight pain in/around ovary? It could be that you just haven't O'd yet, I didn't ovulated until CD 20 on 50mg Clomid.

Whenever I took Clomid the earliest I ever ovulated was around day 19.

Me-24 DH-37 TTC 1st for 16 months. 3 rounds of Clomid all BFN's. 3rd round of Femara, Ovidrel, and LP Progesterone. Adding IUI this cycle. Blood test 9/18

Thank you all for the support! @leah... i had a lot of cramping on day 13 but no opk and my temp did not stay up after that. I am still having some right side cramping but still no spike in temp or opk. no on day 19. is there still hope? can you even get pregnant this late in ov? Thanks so much!!
