Good luck and keep us posted!
It will happen when it's supposed to i guess.
That being said, I love my RE's office. Much more knowledge, more compassionate and understanding of the emotional side of TTC, more apt to go at MY pace instead of setting a pace for me, etc. My visits are covered by insurance after a referral by my doctor. I just have to pay a copay. Be patient. The gradual increase is what any doctor would recommend. Good luck this cycle!
The other thing: there's no one test for PCOS, so I wonder what the doctor was checking? Generally it's diagnosed as a result of hormone imbalances, thyroid issues, drastic weight gain, discoloration of skin, unusual hair growth, etc. or any combination of those. Another telltale sign is doing an ultrasound and actually seeing cystic ovaries, though your ovaries don't necessarily have to have cysts on them for you to have PCOS.
Just throwing some information your way.

I would ask for both of those tests. They can give invaluable information to help maybe solve some issues that may be causing troubles. If they are okay, then you at least know your tubes aren't blocked and your husband's seman is good. It may just gives you a little bit more peace of mind.
any ovulation medication they should first test for HSG ....and also i personally feel that Ovulation medicines mostly makes us ovulate but there are many things that stop us from ovulating naturally and proper diagnosis along with medication will be added help.
Even with me it happened that When i ttc for 1 year and no
BFP i went to OBGYN she just did cd21 progestrone test and though i am ovulating she used to give me O medicines to increase the chance of pregnancy..this went on for 6 months
i got fed up with all these things and then i stepped into fertility clinic and they told me that unless they test for HSG they are going to give me any ovulation medicines. They did all the tests like HSG,Harmonal test, ovarian insulin resistance (may be this is what they call pcos one of the important factor for not ovulating ),semen analysis... and of course they did not tell me reason for infertility(i know there will be some unknown reason) but atleast i am happy that they did all these common test that my OBGYN did not do.
I agree with Mara that if you aren't happy with your OBGYN now it's time to look for a new one. You and your baby are in their hands and I credit mine with saving my baby for realizing something was wrong that was over his head and passing me on to specialists that found the problem and delivered her immediately. A few more days and we could have had a very different outcome.
I am not a patient person either, but I kept saying that our IF journey was supposed to teach me patience. Good luck! You'll get there and it will be awesome!
I try to stay busy; the busier the better. At first, my time was consumed by taking classes for my Masters degree. I completed that in March. We're in the process of adopting our nephew, so he definitely is an investment as far as time is concerned. He's a big distraction for me. I'm also taking a sewing class this month, and I've signed up for a cake decorating class next month. I know, sounds domestic, huh? I'm an advisor for a service based youth organization as well. I find the more I do, the less I think, the less I think, the less depressed I am and the more I can try to have a "normal" life while I wait for my little one to be conceived. Venting helps, too. You ladies are awesome and have been a tremendous help for my sanity.
