Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the BumGenius aio's and there 3.0's?? I can't tell from the cottonbabies website if you stuff them or put a liner in? We are going to use the G-Diapers, but I also hear really good things about BumGenius and how well they hold up overnight, so I wanted to get a couple to test out when baby comes.

With an AIO there's nothing to stuff but since they come in sizes you also have to buy more as your baby gets bigger. The 3.0 diapers are an one size diaper that you snap depending on the size of the baby. I believe the weight range is 8-30lbs. You do have to stuff an insert in those.

I have the one-size BG 3.0 diapers and like them a lot as far as how they hold up but hate stuffing the inserts in them. I am lazy like that though. I would buy one to check out and play with a bit. But if you hate folding/putting away laundry like me then they can be a pain. I don't mind folding any of my other diapers either. I just hate stuffing. Even though I have a decent stash of diapers I was wanting to buy some AIOs because they look so easy. But then changed my mind because of cost. Well then I found out we're having twins so now I am back wanting some. I would definately get my money out of them with twins. lol I have heard though that they take a really long time to dry.

I haven't used them yet (baby due in July), but I do have one or two of each. Like the pp said, the 3.0's are pocket diapers and you have to stuff them for use and unstuff for washing. The advantage is they dry quicker that way and they are one-size so theoretically they should work from birth to PT. The AIO's don't need to be stuffed but take a long time to dry and you need different sizes as your baby grows. Both of these options come in velcro, which can wear out I guess. BG also has an organic, one-size all-in-one that comes in snaps. It is quite a bit more expensive, but I got one with a coupon b/c I was curious and it looks really nice and I like the idea of snaps.

Right now there is a coupon for a free BG AIO with a $10 BG purchase in a couple of parenting magazines. You can check out details on momsmilkboutique.com , under sales and specials - they will clip the coupon for you and they have free shipping on everything, so that might be a good deal if you want to check them out.

HTH!

I would like to add I do like snaps better than velcro. I haven't had an issue with my BG 3.0 velcro diapers wearing or anything and I have had them almost 2yrs but I do have a problem with my DD pulling her diaper off. She isn't as bad now at almost 20mos but still does it on occasion. She can't do it with disposables. At least not as easily but she is a pro at the velcro cloth diapers!
