Help from Sufferers?

First, let me say, my husband suffers from cluster migraines his whole life. I've understood them quite a bit over the years, but notice they have gotten worse as we prepared for our newborn and now that life is more stressful, the stress itself, makes his head worse, which starts a spiral effect. So, I'm writing for tips from sufferers and spouses of sufferers on how to best help him, and how to deal myself. It's hard to see him in pain, but also hard to live life alone with a newborn. Sometimes I don't know how best to help him. He's currently got oxygen, but even that doesn't always work. When our baby was born, he was in middle of a 3 mo-cycle...that was tough for all of us. For the bad ones, he can take imitrex or frova, but both cause rebounds, so he doesn't always take those. What else is out there, what are known causes, what supplements should he add? Are there support groups for loved ones, and what can we do to make it easier (he's already feeling guilty for all this too!)? I'm trying to balance work, baby, caregiving, life, bills, etc., and I don't want to make matters harder for him, but need to find a way to balance all this. Is there any governmental assistance available for people caring for loved ones? Disability for him? He knows alot, but with the net, I'm hoping to learn more. One person wrote a relationship bw hypothalmus and migraines? Would love to know more. SHare anything you know...

My husband suffered with headaches for 31 years. They said, migraines, then cluster, then stress, then high blood pressure. We went everywhere and tried everything with no help. They all said he needed to be medicated. By chance, I was told about a headaches specialist in Houston, Texas-Dr. Pam Blake. She referred us to Dr. Duci at Georgetown University who was doing a procedure called nerve decompression. We went in December and my husband has had amazing results that he has been told will just get better. He had 6 nerves removed from his head. We are going back in March to do the sides or forehead. Check out the articles on the web for either doctor. Please don't suffer any longer. His headaches stole his life and we are just now hoping to get back to life again.
