    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    dry skin inside/itchy earlobes!

I've tried the whole sweet oil thing, and it just clogs my ears and never really solves the itching. Sometimes I wake up with earwax under my fingernails (ew!) and sometimes there is excessive dry skin resting around the outside of my earlobe. Any suggestions?

Please read my FAQ on "itchy ears". There is a link located on the main page of this board; near the top in the board description. This should answer your questions...

I have a earlobe problem. I have bumps on my chin, forehead, and earlobe Can anyone help?
    Rod_Moser_PA_PhD responded:
Perhaps a dermatologist can help...or even your primary care medical provider.

Unfortunately, it is not possible for me, or anyone for that matter, to be able to determine a cause or a solution for your "bumps" and earlobe problems based solely on your very brief and vague description. A medical provider would have to physically SEE and EXAMINE you to make an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
