Gross Question but Curious

I have a rather gross question. I know that snot is mostly water, but what is the rest of it? What are the solids that gives it substance?

I have never personally analyzed a booger...but the solid part of snot is indeed, dried snot; perhaps combined with dust and pollen particles that have been trapped. The nose is a filter.

Hahaha sorry I had to laugh...but yeah, your nose is just keeping bad stuff out of you. What is the "dried snot" part though?
