Rod Moser, PA, PhD responded:
Unfortunately, I have no way of evaluating your ears over the Internet in order to determine a reason for your symptoms. Acoustic trauma can be mild and self-resolving, but it can also cause severe/permanent ear damage.

I would strongly suggest that you see an ENT specialist so that you can be properly evaluated, diagnosed, and treated -- three things that I cannot do over the Internet.

Thank you dr. Moser for your replay Actually I did, no vizibale signs of problem, no loss hearing . When do you think pluging ears come from and now vertigo ? Can balance problem come as a result of plugging my ears with cotton bolls all the time..? Do you think it is good idea to ask a doctor to put me on Valium and Antivet or medication to regulate a water in inner ears.

Rod Moser, PA, PhD replied to vladae's response:
You cannot SEE Eustachian tube dysfunction.....or any evidence of damage in the inner ear on a routine office exam.

Yes, if you have a pressure varation in the middle ear space that is not be equalized by functioning e-tubes, it can result in plugging and vertigo. However, there are MANY things that can cause those symptoms. I do not have enough information about your case -- information that can only be obtained first-hand during an examination -- to know if Valium or Antivert (meclizine) would be appropriate. The medicines do not work by "regulating" water in the inner ears, assuming this is what is happening. The work at the brain level.....

Rod Moser, PA, PhD replied to vladae's response:
Are you meaning "EAR PLUGS"? I really cannot give you a patient-specific explanation as to why this is occuring. Sorry.

Good, then you have your answer. It is not possible to know how long you will continue to have symptoms.
