Head pressure and dizziness

Like a lot of you I have been suffering from the same symptoms, mine started around 3 to 4 weeks ago, sudden dizziness, head pressure, shooting pains and nausea, also have morning bouts of loose bowel movements. It all seemed to come on after a heavy head/sinus cold and again like a lot of people have been under stress at work.

Thankfully living in the UK I have access to good free healthcare,I've been to my doctor 3 times now and am on Stemetil (Prochlorperazine Maleate) for the dizziness,Diclofenac to try and ease the head pressure and shooting pains and the occasional Diazepam when it all gets a bit much!

I go for a raft of blood tests on Monday but will have to wait a week for the results and am also off to see an ENT consultant in a week to be tested for Menieres disease and Acoustic Neuroma. For now though i'm off work and spending most days in bed,it's comforting to know that others share my condition but frustrating that there are no simple answers as to the causes.

Like everyone else I have been doing a lot of research into the possible causes and some are rather disturbing. So like everyone else its the frustrating wait for answers........

Yes, it can be frustrating to wait for those answers, but it is every more frustrating to find out that all of your tests are normal, and you are still having symptoms. Sadly, not all human afflictions are diagnosable, or at least, easily diagnosable.

I hope that your doctors do find some answers....and a solution. Good luck

Many thanks,I have found a lot of rest to be helpful,I've also noticed stress and tiredness plays a very big part in the onset of the symptoms, cutting back the caffeine and drinking more water has also helped

I am glad that you found some ways to feel better.
