hearing loss in a diabetic with no infection. Please help !!
jazzsky posted:
my mother is a diabetic and out of the blue she woke up and can not hear from the right ear. i took her to the er and has no ear infection or perforation to the drum. she is very dizzy and now throwing up and cant keep anything down. this is now 2 days. Anybody please help!!!
Rod Moser, PA, PhD responded:
Get your mother to see an ENT specialist as soon as possible. ER medical providers are not experts in this area. If you mother clearly has one-sided deafness, this needs to be addressed quickly, and she needs to be taking medication to control her dizziness/vomiting. Hopefully, the ER provided that for her.

yes i took to the er and admitted her. the neuro came to see her and the ent should visit her today. thank u fo your response.
Rod Moser, PA, PhD replied to jazzsky's response:
Good for you, and make sure to let me know what the ENT has to say. Did they order an MRI?
