Strange jellylike feeling in head, any ideas please?
An_248289 posted:
Hi, I've had head pressure or what I would call a jelly like feeling in my head (and sometimes upper body)for 14 years, it's usually black. I've had it since I was quite young. What does it mean? A doctor once just dismissed it but now I am getting worried since I've been researching it, and I hate it as it's very uncomfortable. I'm wondering if it's related to anxiety, but the has decreased in later years, or it could be a side effect of a medicine I was on? Can anyone help/ have similar symptoms?

I am sorry, but based on the very limited information you have provided, I would not have a clue as the reasons of this 14 year long "jelly-like feeling" you are having, or what you mean by "it is usually black".

Well it's kind of wobbly, toffee like. I was briefly hospitalized for psychosis for a few weeks when I was 18 and it started at the top of my head and then spread to the rest of my head in the next few months after i was discharged. It could be the medication, or I really hated hospital and it was a shock so it could be something to do with the anxiety due to that? I've been well throughout the years with occasional relapses but have lately been well for years so it should have gone away I think. What else do u need to know? It's very strange.

Hi I have the same feeling in my head but with other things goin on along with it that has prevented me from been able to function properly or go out for some time. As well as the jelly like sensation in my head whenever I lie down my legs shake and I feel as though im pushing pressure up my body, I can see that your post is 2 years old and was wondering if you've learnt anything new on this and whether you have had any of the other symptoms I have described. I have been for blood tests and mri but nothing has shown up which has left doctors to tell me that its all psychological however im sure that its not.
