Rod Moser, PA, PhD responded:
I am sorry, but I don't know. I don't have any information about you, your medical history, the type of surgical procedure used to remove your tonsils, and any other medical condition (like sinusitis, allergies, etc.) that you may have. My recommendation is for you to make an appointment with the ENT that removed your tonsils for a hands-on evaluation. The loss of the sense of smell can be unbelievably complex and be caused by many, many things. Just removing the tonsils should not be one of them.
