Tonsil Stone Question
singingbear posted:
I have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in the last year. Around the same time my symptoms started I also had my first experience with a tonsil stone (sore throat with some redness that went away with the removal of a pea size "stone"). Since that time I have had several more smaller stones. I also occassionally have mild pain around my throat and ears. Is it possible for the swelling of RA to effect the tonsils?
Rod Moser, PA, PhD responded:
No....they are not related. There are no rules in medicine that state a person can only have one medical condition at a time -- you have two, different problems.

Thank you for your quick response. It was just a thought that had been in the back of my mind.
Rod Moser, PA, PhD replied to singingbear's response:
It was a good question.....
