    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Hey Doc,

I have been suffering from recurrent tonsilitis for years now. I just finally saw an ENT 2 months ago and got placed on a waiting list to have them removed. No idea how long this will take. In the meantime, I cannot remember the last time my tonsils were normal size, they are always huge, but do not hurt. But at least every 2 weeks I am sick and taking antibiotics AGAIN! I am very dizzy, ear pain, stiff neck, headahce, stuffy nose, sometimes cough, but like i said, very swollen tonsils at all times but no pain. could this still be causing it? what do you think could be causing all this dizziness?
    Rod Moser, PA, PhD responded:
As much as I would like to help you, Ashley, it would be impossible to blindly determine the reason for your dizziness...there can literally be HUNDREDS of causes of dizziness to consider. I can say that I do not believe the cause is directly associated with your big tonsils, but it could be due to the illness you are having.
