turbinex reduction for tinnitus?
brucergoldberg posted:
I was curious to know everone's opinion on my situation. I have HORRIBLE ringing in my ears. I have thyroid issues but am told the ringing is not related to my thyroid.

I also have a deviated septum and enlarged turbinex. I am told this should be fixed. If i get this fixed, would this help with the ear ringing possibly?

thank you
Rod Moser, PA, PhD responded:
Turbinates, not turbinex. No fixing the turbinates would not likely help tinnitus. Tinnitus usually orginates in the inner ear or brain, so fixing the nose would just....fix the nose. You may breathe a bit better through you nose, but you will most likely still have tinnitus.
