ear infection that will not go away

for three weeks now I have had a very painful ear. i went to the doctor and they prescribed me amox and after they were finished it went right but after about a day it came back again. i then went to the doctor again and they prescribed me ear drops and again it came right but now it has come back once again!!!!! it is driving me crazy i am going to the doctors in 2 days but have almost lost trust in them. Does anyone know what it could be? please help

No one, including a seasoned medical professional, can offer you an accurate diagnosis based solely on your symptoms. This is going to require a hands-on examination by a medica provider. Clearly, the treatment that you have received thus far is not working, so it will need to be revised.
