Weird and mysterious condition.

Hi it all started in October. 2012. I was going about my business at home and all of a sudden I just fell to the ground and had this vertigo for about a few minutes or less I think not sure of any other symptoms except racing heart and the vertigo. That week I went to a clinic and he gave me steroids I guess the doctor thought I had a ear problem. Same week I was in the ER cause I have repeated episodes of it 2 or 3 times a day They told me they though it was positional vertigo. I ended up seeing I don't know how many doctors after that and got a mix of conditions ranging from sinus issues to ear infections and even anxiety. Now I seem to have ear discomfort that goes form the right to left ear and I take meclizine for dizziness if needed. I really want to get to the bottom of this problem so I can resume my normal life. Hope somebody could help out. I'm only 26 years old and worried.

Unfortunately, there is very little that can be accomplished on-line in this forum. Vertigo can be a very challenging medical condition, with hundreds of causes. It would be impossible for me, or any medical professional, to be able to blindly determine a cause or recommend a treatment over the Internet.

My only suggestion to you it so see an ENT specialist that deals with inner ear disorders or a ER is not the place to manage this condition. My heart goes out to you, but you will need to find or be referred to a specialist that can manage your vertigo.

Hi well I have been to a few ENT specialists I forgot to mention in the other message and they checked me out and came up with buildup mucus in my sinuses I believe and I did a MRI and they found sinusitis. I been to a neurologists and he though it was anxiety. I took all kinds of medicines from antibiotics to anxiety medicine I get all kinds of conditions not sure who to believe or what to believe. I passed hearing tests I thought it might of been Meniere's disease but my friend told me you would have to have all the symptoms to have that. I never vomited while I had the vertigo so I'm hoping that's not the case being only 26 years old and I haven't lost any hearing that I know of. I don't know what to do anymore.
