Nose Scab after Cauterisation

MissInformed posted:
I have a query...is 2 days too short a time for the scab to come off? I found it unbearable having the 'scab' blocking my airway and preventing me from sleeping, so I gently removed it. No bleeding followed and I attempted to prevent infecting the area by applying an anti-septic cream.

Is it possible that I ruined the entire treatment? Checking my nose now, it doesn't feel as fragile as before where a simple nudge causes a nose bleed.

As long as it didn't bleed, you may be fine.....an antibiotic OINTMENT may be better than an antiseptic cream. Be gentle with that nostril or it could bleed again.
