Sphenoid Sinus Infection

49 yo male. I have had a sinus infection on/off for several months now (chronic allergy/sinus sufferer). Was on one course of AB for three weeks + 6-day steroid pack. Felt better. On nasonex and zyrtec currently. I had sinus surgery in 1992. Was still suffering a few weeks ago. Went back to my ENT and had a CT scan done (first time since before my surgery). Frontal/Maxiallary/Ethmoid all look great. See a picture (http://i.imgur.com/oOucD4I.jpg ). However, one sphenoid sinus is completely filled with puss. See here http://i.imgur.com/cehEQha.jpg and here http://i.imgur.com/H59bKjr.jpg . ENT scoped me and was able to suction a small amount of pus out, but hard to find the "opening." Treatment plan for now is 6 weeks of AB and recheck in a month in. If no improvement, wants to do a "baloonplasty" to try to open up the sinus. I have read that sphenoid infections are hard to treat b.c. AB hard to get in that area. Anyone else have experiance with a sphenoid-only infection? How treated, and what was the outcome? Thanks!
