    hello Dr.
my name is ice, 24yo, smoker, 67kg 180cm except the smoking im very healthy and do sports almost every day (just for little info on me ).

almost every year i get swollen tonsils and i just drink lots of herbs to pass it with no medicine, works like a charm.

3 days ago i woke up with a very enlarged left tonsil, almost kissing the right tonsil with two 'holes' and white stuff (which from what i understood is white blood cells?).
i went to my Dr. and he gave me 1000mg penicillin for 10days and 40 mg Prednisone for 4days.
the swollen tonsil has reduces its size to almost half and sitting in the middle of my throat.
But , its been day 3 now , and the edges of the 'holes' start to change color to kind of brown all the white stuff remains .
i don't have the means to take a photo which you will understand something from it and i know the answer if i did =>
im not looking for a clear cut conclusion.
i will see ENT in 2 days , just wanted to go prepared and with some knowledge on what that might be because it my Dr. by surprise and the nurse had to talk to him so he would refer me to ENT (i know !)
thank you very much for taking the time to read this .
    regards, Ice.
