    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,

Do I need a colonoscopy? I have no gastroenterological symptoms, eat little junk food, no elimination problems, am 74, with atrial fibrilation, taking anti-coagulant meds. I had a sigmoidoscopy over ten years ago, no problems, but was not on the medication then. Is this screening wise?

I am not knocking any of the other folks in this chat section, BUT, unless they personally know your medical history and have a shingle they can put out, are a doctor, I would say this is a bad place to ask for full medical advice. You can safely get good examples and stories of what other people have gone thru, but, sound medical advice - I'd recommend at least calling you doctor on questions like that. There used to be a doctor that followed along here too but we lost that option a while back. G'luck on your decision.
