Catheter and Sexual problem after Colon Removal.

I had my colon removed because of cancer 5 months ago, i did not have to do Chemo or radiation, but i still have to use a catheter to urinate, and my sex life is not happening, no sex drive, every time i try i can only manage a half erection, i am 67 years old, and had no problems before my surgery,and my doctor keep telling me to give it time. has any one had this problem and can share their experiences.(is it going to come back)

My dad is 62 and just his colon removed due to colon cancer. His dr. told him his sex drive would decline. Sorry:(

I had radiation and chemo on stage 3 colon cancer early 2012 and sex drive went way down. I think it's normal. Now a year later, it's almost nonexistant.
