    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,

This is an excellent resource site for all pre and post operative ostomy patients. Links to 80 country ostomy associations/manufacturers of ostomy appliances (no advertisements) and many other resources. Contains unique new ostomy product reviews and has a special section for all child ostomates. (The Gastronauts) featuring real ostomate puppets on video. Free certificates of bravery under surgery sent worldwide to all child ostomates. Publicised by the UOAA 's The Phoenix September issue 2011, who are sponsoring a limited amount of free ostomy puppets to all ostomy children in the US. Applications to The Phoenix.
Also book Unwanted Baggage 440 pages on life with a bag - ditto mention in the UOAA Journal.

This is the first discussion I have seen just for people with ostomies. Even though I am an adult (so I guess I don't qualify to be a Gastronaut) I feel the need to be able to reach out to others who truly understand what we live with, day to day. I have had my colostomy just over a year and even now it will hit me out of nowhere, I have to live with this for the rest of my life!! I still have problems handling it emotionally and physically, so it would be great to be able to ask questions from "veterans" for advice and useful tips.
