I have been diagnosed with very mild sleep apnea (just over the amount where treatment starts). I could not tolerate the CPAP during the 2nd half of the sleep study. Also, I have been diagnosed with restless leg syndrome. I've been on 4 medications, Requip, mirapex and 2 sleep medications but can not tolerate any of them. I had anxiety attacks and high blood pressue with the requip and mirapex and the 2 sleep medictations caused inflammation flare ups past toleration. Now the doctor wants me to get a mouth device that costs $2000.00 to $2400.00 which may or may not work. I am concerned this may cause TMJ, headaches, etc. Has any one tried using one of these? I would hate to pay that much for this only to put it in the trash can. of course the doctor went through all the things that might happen to me if the sleep apnea is not treated just to cover herself. which can scare you to death.
