Amenorrhea, condom, day after pill: Could I still be pregnant?

Hey,

So I have post-birth control pill amenorrhea (absence of periods) and have had it since November. I only got my period once in January, but since then nothing else, not even spotting. A couple of days ago I had sex and my partner used a condom (it didn't break) and then 36 hours after the fact I took Norlevo (emergency contraception). What are my chances of being pregnant? Also, I probably won't be getting a period soon, even if I'm not pregnant, because of the previous amenorrhea issues I've been facing plus taking the morning after pill which contains more hormones.

Should I be worried? I will take a pregnancy test, but would like to wait a week in order to receive accurate results. Also, do you know of anyone who has been through the same thing?

To review:
- I haven't had a period in months
- I used a condom properly and it did not break
- I took emergency contraception 36 hours after the fact
- My partner pulled out

Thanks!

I would say, given what you have told us, that pregnancy is pretty darn near impossible. I won't say 100% impossible because nothing is 100% but you're pretty darn close.

Can I ask a question? Why did you take emergency contraception even though a condom was used? You say it was used properly and he pulled out before he ejaculated so no emergency contraception should have been needed.

Thank you so much for your reply. It really does mean a lot to me. I'm an overly paranoid and anxious person, so I always think that the undesirable will happen to me. I would rather stock up on hormones and medications than have a child at this point. I am in no way mentally or financially ready to take care of a baby at this point in my life. I'm still a kid in many ways and I still need to establish myself as a real person and settle down. I used to be on birth control, but after November, it messed up my periods so I decided to get off of them. I am still so nervous that I could be pregnant.

Also, I began spotting 6 days after I took Norlevo. Is it implantation bleeding, my actual period that's finally come, or the hormonal effects of Norlevo?

I would say the effects of the Norlevo.

I would say you chances are extremely low, though you may want to talk to a Dr. about doing something to get back to having regular periods.
Best of luck.

I also had sex the week after, but with just a condom. I went to my gyno and told her about these 2 instances, but she didn't order a pregnancy test. Now I have sore nipples and constipation. I am freaking out. Do these two symptoms mean pregnancy?
