Greetings all! I'm new here on the site. I'm a 41 yr old African American female who is on three different types of blood pressure medicines. The latest one preacribed to me, I have not taken on a consist basis. My last cycle was sometime in April. I have not had a cycle for the month of May. It's now the 1st of June and we are (my husband and family) are very eager to know if we're pregnant! I lost my son on Sept. 14, 2003 due to fibroid tumors. I had a total myomictomy (spelling??) done on Oct. 31, 2003 due to serve tumors in and around my uterus. I have not been able to conceive since....up until now. I'm not sure if I am, but I hve not had a period and I am cramping a little on my left side. I feel ok with a slight sickness from time to time. Could I be pregnant? Should I wait to take a test or do it now? I do have a Dr.'s appointment on July 9th next month. Any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions are needed and welcomed please...ASAP!!!! Thanks!

Since you did not have a period in May, a test would be accurate. Take one.
I, too, had a myomectomy to remove fibroids, one the size of my doctor's fist. We waited the required 3 months and conceived the first month we tried with my son and two years later, my daughter.

Take one.<br /> <br />I, too, had a myomectomy to remove fibroids, one the size of my doctor's fist. Oh wow!!!! You are such a breath of fresh air to me right now!!!! I'm so nervous to take it but anxious at the same time....to know!! I'm not sick sick but....tonight I didn't like the "smell" of baked chicken being heated up in the microwave! I ate that and a baked potatoe. So far, I'm managing to keep it down. I have started taking a multivitamin until we know for sure. Should I take the test now or just wait another week? As of right now, there is still no signs of my cycle starting. Thanks again for sharing with me! It means a lot! Blessings

Is your period late? If it is, take a test using first morning urine. If it's negative wait a few days and if your period still doesn't start, take anothter test.

Yes. Since you usually do not drink anything after you go to bed, your morning urine is most concentrated and that is the best urine to use to detect the pregnancy hormone.

I later started spotting and she said it was either the baby passing, or just my cycle returning after missing the previous month. I now have n appointment with a infertility doctor on June 28th. I want to know ow much does "clomid" cost without insurance? We live in South Carolina if that makes a difference. I am also looking into having the IUI procedure done. Thanks for all your help.
