Chance of Pregnancy? Do I Need To Be More Safe?

    Hi,

My boyfriend and I have sex between 1-3 times a week, and he usually does not wear a condom since I am on birth control pills and have been for several months. Within the last week, he's ejaculated inside of me 3 times within two days. Like I said, I have been on birth control pills since late July, and I have taken them regularly and effectively the whole time (missed like one day total).

What is the chance I will become pregnant? We both enjoy sex more when he does not wear a condom, but I only want to continue this habit if I know I am protected from pregnancy by my birth control pills alone. Should I insist that he wear a condom? Should we have sex less often?

As long as you take the pills as directed and don't miss any, you're about 95-99% protected from pregnancy. A condom wouldn't make those chances much less so you're fine going without a condom.

Also, while having sex often will slightly increase the chances of getting pregnant while on the pill, it's not enough to have to decrease the amount of sex you have as long as you both are enjoying it.
