    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Very early miscarriage?

My period was about 4 days late (I took two pregnancy tests but both came up negative). However, my period blood is really clumpy and it looks like there is possibly some fetal tissue (or some other kind of tissue) included in the mix. Wondering if this could have been an early miscarriage even though pregnancy tests came back negative.

It would be helpful to know if it was indeed a miscarriage because my husband and I were recently referred to a fertility specialist due to abnormal sperm motility and morphology. My OBGYN said that most likely we'll need to do IUI or IVF; however, if this could have been a miscarriage, it would at least be good news in the sense that we can possibly get pregnant without all the extra help.

If it were a miscarriage, a pregnancy test would have come up as positive. When you have your period, not only is blood expelled but uterine tissue and that is probably the chunks y ou are seeing.
