    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Hi guys! I'm new to the forum thingey but I need your advice
I had the implant removed on 05.03.14 and I've had unprotected sex after it was removed. It's now been 9 days since the implant was taken out and I've had no period at all. Is this normal?
    Thanks in advance!

    Yes - very normal.
I had the non-hormonal IUD and when it was removed my period was 14 days late.
If you have the hormonal IUD, it's even more common as the hormonal balance is adjusting in your body.

Are you trying to get pregnant?

Ahhh thank you! The nurse said that I should get my period within 5 days but had and still have nothing.

Yes, my partner and I are trying at the moment.

    Congrats and good luck

If you don't get your period within two weeks of having unprotected sex, than take a home pregnancy test.
