Implant removed and no period, advice needed please
An_256021 posted:
Hi guys! I'm new to the forum thingey but I need your advice
I had the implant removed on 05.03.14 and I've had unprotected sex after it was removed. It's now been 9 days since the implant was taken out and I've had no period at all. Is this normal?
Thanks in advance!
lovebird79 responded:
Yes - very normal.
I had the non-hormonal IUD and when it was removed my period was 14 days late.
If you have the hormonal IUD, it's even more common as the hormonal balance is adjusting in your body.

Are you trying to get pregnant?
An_256021 replied to lovebird79's response:
Ahhh thank you! The nurse said that I should get my period within 5 days but had and still have nothing.

Yes, my partner and I are trying at the moment.
lovebird79 replied to An_256021's response:
Congrats and good luck

If you don't get your period within two weeks of having unprotected sex, than take a home pregnancy test.
An_256021 replied to lovebird79's response:
Thank you!!

I'll see how it goes and let you know

Thanks for your help!
