    Relationship and children

My fiance and I found out we are having a baby, due April, and today we just found out it was a girl. We really wanted a boy, so we were talking about it after the appt. and he told me that he is going to love the baby more than he loves me because the baby is his flesh and blood. Now, he's not very religious, but i am. and in the bible it says put your wife before your children... and it really hurt my feelings that he would even say something like that... do all fathers feel that way? Am I overreacting to this?

Some people do put their children first. I put my wife first. I always tell her that I chose her, I picked her. I might have chosen to have a kid but I did not pick that particular kid.

    Marriage has been devalued lately.

Let him know that what he said hurt you.
