Gary (momore) is in the hospital:(

Just wanted to give you all an update. Gary just called me and has been admitted to the hospital for severe dehydration. He had an appointment with his pcp today and apparently the doc took one look at him and sent him straight to the ER. Tonight they are just giving him fluids and his nephrologist and urologist are supposed to be in to see him some time tomorrow. He doesn't have his computer with him so I told him that I would let you all know what was going on. He is supposed to call me tomorrow and let me know what the docs say. I'll pass on the info when I get it. He sounded good on the phone...just frustrated and a little tired. They are gonna give him something to help him sleep:)

Hugs to all!

Thanks for letting us know Mindy. I'm sorry he's in that state and I'm sure everyone can relate to him just as I can. I think one of the worst things about getting badly dehydrated is how difficult it is to start an IV, it sure gets bad when they have to stab you many times.

Please give him my best wishes if he calls you again and keep us up to date?

I sure hope you're getting the information you need to avoid having any more tragedies. It seems to me that the accidents would be much more traumatic than talking to whomever you need to for help in avoiding more of them.

Good luck and my best wishes to both of you.

I know Gary won't see this for few days, but let hime know I am thinking about him, and I hope he gets well soon! Tell him to rest and let others take him of him so he can get home soon!

Hugs to both of you!
