I have never heard of mastic gum. Exactly what is it, what does it do, what are side effects, etc. etc. etc.

I have GI doc appt. Tuesday and I will mention this to him. From what I've found on line, mastic gum is good for the gums, among other things, as well as stomach ulcers. Hmmm..interesting, but I have many questions about it. Do you personally use is for ulcerative colitis or do you have Crohns? Just curious. Did someone recommend it?

Sorry about the questions, but I really am interested in what this is.

Thanks. Look forward to your response.
